Where I've Been

I've been writing, working, critiquing, homework for class... end of the year activities for the kids, volunteering.  It's a crazy busy life I lead and blogging is way at the bottom.  But I did want to share some new music I found.  Have you heard of Stateless?  Check them out ----> here

The song Bloodstream is awesome!!  How about these lyrics???

Wake up look me in the eyes again
I need to feel your hands upon my face
Words can be like knives
They can cut you open
And then the silence surrounds you
and haunts you
I think I might’ve inhaled you
I could feel you behind my eyes
You’ve gotten into my bloodstream
I can feel you flowing in me
Words can be like knives
They can cut you open
And then the silence surrounds you
and haunts you
I think I might’ve inhaled you
I could feel you behind my eyes
You’ve gotten into my bloodstream
I can feel you flowing in me

This song is definitely going on Aidan's playlist!!!

Enjoy...

Making a Love Knot aka Secret Note to Pass in Class

I am writing a scene in which Aidan writes Kyra a note that he wants to give her during class.  I remembered making love knots back in the day so I googled “Making paper love knot” and many results came back.  Here’s a great step by step example on WikiHow.  I’m thinking about making one for my husband and tucking it into his pocket, just for old times sake.

Here’s Aidan’s note, simple, short and very to the point:

“I’m sorry,”  Love, Aidan.

Ooohhh… have you ever gotten a note like this from a guy?  Have you gotten a cool apology from a guy?  Maybe a poem?  Do share…

My Projects

FORBIDDEN SECRETS is a young adult paranormal romance with a realistic core.  The story is set just outside Asheville, NC in the fictional town of Hawthorne Ridge, NC.  It's a contemporary story sprinkled with the magic of Celtic legend and the intrigue of Scottish history.  Think "Romeo and Juliet" meets "Highlander", with a secret around every corner.
