I write young adult fiction with strong, athletic, female protagonists who are fulfilling their dreams, of course with a little (err lots of) trouble along the way.
My completed manuscript, FORBIDDEN SECRETS, is a paranormal romance with a realistic core. The story is set just outside Asheville, NC, in the fictional town of Hawthorne Ridge. It's a contemporary story, sprinkled with the magic of Celtic legend and the intrigue of Scottish history. Think Romeo & Juliet meets Highlander. With lots and lots of secrets. FORBIDDEN SECRETS is a finalist in the 2011 Windy City's Four Seasons Contest.
I dream of buying a log cabin in a small artsy town in the Blue Ridge Mountains. But for now, I live in the foothills of the North Georgia mountains with my hubby and two young kids. (Of course, they'd be moving with me.) Aside from writing, when I'm not working my day job, I love hanging with the family, baking chocolate chip cookies from scratch or reading a book from my endless "To Be Read" pile.
