I’ve been on a literal and figurative blog vacation.  How refreshing.  Don’t get me wrong, I love checking out blogs and writing my own, but it’s a lot of work and life happens.  Sometimes a girl has to prioritize! 

So while on this blogcation, I did literally go somewhere.  We went on a trip to Asheville for a few days.  Oh how I love it there...  If you’ve been following my blog, you know that a fictional town outside Asheville is the setting for my novel.  The trip provided me with a lot of great material for the second draft.  Speaking of which, I am just beginning the first stage of the climactic part of the novel and my story has once again taken me somewhere I didn’t expect when I started writing page one.  It’s crazy how you start with an idea and many times it morphs into something quite different than where you start…
