I am looking forward to getting a ton of writing done this weekend in addition to sports events for the kiddos.  It may be a couple of late nights but alas, I have a self-imposed deadline to meet.  We are planning a trip to NC to scope out the areas I am using for the setting of the book.  This trip is in less than a month.  YIKES!!!  I want to be finished with the first draft so I can concentrate on the nuances involved in describing the actual setting.

I’m almost to the scenes that begin the climax of the novel… so I’m close…  I have quite a few disasters planned for my characters so it should be fun to write.  I love creating conflict.  Check out Sarah Ockler’s blog post on why.

Oh – I would be remiss if I didn’t throw a couple shout outs for helping me this week.  Thanks to both of my brothers.  One for helping me with a scene involving golf, the other for a scene involving some great emotional conflict for which I needed a male perspective.  Thanks to the rest of my support team.  You know who you are.

The To Do List consists of:

  1. Will’s soccer game
  2. Brynne’s gymnastics meet
  3. Write Write Write
  4. Finish WICKED LOVELY by Melissa Marr

FORBIDDEN SECRETS

YA Paranormal

Kyra focuses on a full-ride to college and defending her state cross-country title.  Now plagued by terrifying visions, hiding her psychic curse and avoiding the label “class freak” becomes priority number-one.  Until she falls for Aidan.

In this Romeo & Juliet meets Highlander, when Kyra becomes the pawn for one rogue immortal pursuing a sacred artifact protected by Aidan’s clan of Celtic immortals, and another seeking to settle a centuries-old blood feud; Aidan must choose between loyalty to his family or protecting the girl who’s claimed his heart.  However, Kyra’s secret may cost her everything, including the boy she loves.

Sprinkled with the magic of Celtic legend and the intrigue of Scottish history, this story placed 3rd in the 2011 Four Seasons Contest.
